MEMBER NOT IN GOOD STANDING

The Letter of Agreement states: Any Member who is judged undesirable by three or more Members and/or the management of DINNER FOR SIX will be subject to Membership cancellation.  Based on our conversation with the offending Member, the Member will either be: 1) issued a verbal warning, 2) put on probation, or 3) dropped as a Member, without a refund.

 WOMEN 63 plus

Due to the popularity of D46 we cannot accept new women who are 63+ for full membership.   A two dinner package is offered for $90.  After attending two the member will be invited to additional dinners but must pay a $45 Event Fee for each dinner in addition to the actual cost of the dinners. Dinners are based on the availability of other members within the 55+ age group.

ON-HOLD

You may put your membership “On Hold.”  1).  You must notify DINNER FOR SIX in writing or e-mail when you want to put your membership “On Hold.”  2).  GOING ON  “ON HOLD” – If you are on monthly dues you must notify DINNER FOR SIX by the first of the month, in order to avoid dues for that month.  “Holds” received after the first day of the month will be charged for the entire month.  3).  You must be “On Hold” for a minimum of two months, for us to extend your membership.  After two months, your membership will be extended for one half the time you are “On Hold”.  That is if you are “On Hold” for less than 60 days your membership will not be extended.  If you are on hold for 61 days, your membership will be extended 30 days.  Your “On Hold” period must be consecutive; we will not count accumulated periods.  4).  COMING OFF “ON HOLD” – You will be charged the $15 event fee for your dinner unless you go back to monthly dues.

 REFUNDS

There are no refunds if you bought a discounted membership or a renewal membership.  Member may attend two dinners and if DINNER FOR SIX has not met the expectations listed by the member on The Expectations and Goals of the Profile, discontinue their membership with a refund, minus the processing charge, within the first 30 days, within these terms: 1). Member must notify DINNER FOR SIX  within 7 days of the second dinner in writing or email. 2). Member must state in writing how DINNER FOR SIX did not meet the Expectations and Goals of their Profile.  If Member has not contacted DINNER FOR SIX within seven days of the second dinner, Member will lose refund eligibility. If DINNER FOR SIX has met the member’s written Expectations and Goals on the Profile there are no refunds.  Should a refund be granted, booked dinners and events will be prorated at $60 each, however after 30 days of joining there are no refunds.

For each new Member you introduce during your calendar year, your membership will be extended by three months.  If you introduce 4 new Members who are in good standing, your next Renewal Fee will be waived.

DINNER AND EVENT INFORMATION

 AVAILABILITY

Please call us or e-mail with actual dates you are available for dinner. Dinners are on a First Come First Served Basis.  A “Dinner Availability” e-mail is sent each Thursday requesting your available dates for the following week. Once we know when you are available, we will contact you with an “Confirmation to a Dinner.”  It is essential that you return our call with either a YES or NO soon as possible, or an alternate date.  A “NO RESPONSE” is not an answer nor is it courteous.  After you have accepted a dinner invitation, we will contact you later in the week with details of your dinner.  If you do not hear from us by the day of your dinner, call us.  Call both the office and the restaurant if you have a last minute emergency cancellation.

PREFERENCE PRIORITY

Dinners are booked based on the following criteria (in order of priority): availability, age preference, interests and previous dinnermate history. In order for us to put dinners together, it is critical that Members respond within 24 hours to any invitation extended, whether or not you are able to accept. A prompt response assures you a dinner spot as invitations are extended to multiple members with similar preferences.

DINNER MATES

Our goal is to arrange dinners for you that are a combination of new people and some previously met.  Our goal is to introduce you to two new (to you) members of the opposite sex at each of your dinners, after four months the program does repeat itself.  Due to last minute cancellation you may have dinner mates who are a couple of years out of your age group preferences.  The dinner mate selection process is very complex.  Member’s schedules change at the last minute, the makeup of the group will too.

NUMBER OF DINNERS

The number of dinners a Member may attend is based upon availability of other Members who have common Profile Preferences.

TIPPING

Please remember that we do present a challenge to restaurants in requesting separate checks.  Often members forget to tip on the complimentary items, we recommend that you tip 22%.

CANCELLATION & “NO SHOWS”

If the Member cancels a dinner less than 48 hours before a Saturday dinner, or 36 hrs before a Thursday or Friday dinner the Member owes a $35 Cancellation fee.  Group Events have their own RSVP/pay-in-full deadlines as listed in the Calendar, if you cancel your reservation after the RSVP deadline you are responsible for full payment.  DINNER FOR SIX is not responsible for Members “no-showing” for a dinner.  A  Member not showing and not calling to cancel a booked dinner will owe a $50 “no-show fee.”  All fees must be current before being booked for additional events.  A Member who is not current in their fees for 20 days or more is subject to having their membership canceled.  Members are responsible for all individual charges incurred in booking/ticketing and at the dinner/event.

LAST MINUTE SUBSTITUTIONS

We need last minute/same day replacements when someone cancels.  E-mails will be sent out when we need replacements.  Please respond if you are able to fill in.

BAD WEATHER

In extreme weather, if we need to cancel a dinner we will leave a message at your home and at the restaurant.  Please check those numbers if you are in doubt.  If you feel conditions are not safe, please call both the restaurant and the office to let us know you will not make it.  You will not be charged the event fee, if you call.
